Vamos participants/students are taken to the mountain to take four snowboard lessons then they get to experience the mountain with the support of mentors.

Vamos partners with the Mount Baker Ski Area to offer snowboard lessons to participants where they get to experience the mountain with the support of trained mentors. Snowboarding is a joyful activity where students get to connect with the mountains, their peers and challenge themselves. Vamos makes 8 trips to Baker annually, four visits for two student groups. Each session has dedicated space for a boys group and a girls group. The ski area provides lift access, rentals, and instruction as in kind donations. The Share Winter Foundation provided $10,000 to cover about 40% of the 2023 program. Big thanks to Mary Rand, the North Face, and Evo Seattle for running fundraisers to raise the remaining $15,000 needed to run the program.
